Jerry’s life was well lived indeed. He did not meet a stranger. He was kind and generous beyond measure. He loved Tex Mex food and barbecue. He shared his love of music—most often country or rock and roll—readily, and sometimes loudly, with others. He built and invested in lifelong friendships from various areas of life. He adored his family. He could not have been more proud of his son, Chris, and I remember Jerry saying he at one point reminded Chris that not all kids had a Mom like Linda Watson! This was a testament to Linda’s devotion, cooking, and creativity. It was a blessing to call Jerry “boss” and then later to call him and Linda “friends.” He was one of the most decent people I have ever met. It will be an honor and a privilege to join with others in the Celebration of Life service for witnesses to Jerry’s life. He was a remarkable man and there is much to celebrate.
